November 10, 2018 – Disembarkation & San Juan, Puerto Rico
We decided to disembark and go directly to the airport vs. doing a morning tour of San Juan.
Disembarkation was a breeze from the Summit as we were travelling Suite class which had priority disembarkation. Once we disembarked, we then met up with the chaos at the taxi queue. People were grouped up into vans and shuttled off – with no discounts given (as like arranged from SJU to the port). If you are travelling in a group, it might be an advantage to prearrange transport with a shuttle service, for example.
In hindsight, next time we will likely do a morning tour, if we have a late afternoon flight. it was a “very” long wait until the check in desk opened for our afternoon flight and there are no seats or benches in that area of the San Juan airport.
