Grenada

This would be our very first visit to Grenada.  We decided to walk the town on our own (vs. an previously arranged tour).  We woke up that day and thought we would visit the Fort, but as we entered through the port welcome area, we found there were several vendors offering tours (island and city). A gentleman in a purple shirt approached us and offered us a tour of the Fort and the Carnage for “tips only” (whatever we felt the tour was worth).  We have done many of these grats only tours before in different cities, so decided to take him up on his offer.   Only, afterwards we found out that you should only hire the official “green” shirts, not the “purple” shirts who are scammers (more on that at the end of this post).
